Hi, my name is Nick. Here’s a little bit about me:
- I’m an early career healthcare data scientist with deep experience across various data sources (EMR, claims, Medicare Part D, etc.) and strong technical skills in SQL, R, SAS, and Python. I’ve had a number of different data analyitc roles across several research projects but my main function in all of them has been to extract insights from data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- I earned my M.S.Ed. at the University of Pennsylvania in Statistics, Measurement, Assessment, and Research Technology.
- I’m an avid runner and sit on the board of Philadelphia Runner Track Club.

- Serve as analytical lead for VA-funded research projects using the VA’s electronic medical record, claims data from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other sources; perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL, R, and SAS.
- Develop and document reproducible data pipelines, including an R-based workflow evaluating the impact of generic drug conversion on prior authorization in Medicare Part D data.
